Mint Stamps
How much are my Lucy stamps worth?
I have a ton of I Love Lucy stamps in Mint Condition, complete with Certificate of Authenticity. My Grandfather used to give them to me before he passed. Their from 1998-2000, and colorized. They are from the International Collector’s Society, and for example- some of the Lucy stamps say Guyana on them. A few have prices on them- like one says $400. But I just want to know how much they’re worth- or if I should hold on to them for 10-20 more years. Im only 24.
I would sell them soon. It’s just my opinion but most of the population probably don’t even know who Lucy was. As for prices, look for the stamps on Ebay and see how much people are bidding on them (If any). Don’t just look at the prices listed. Look to see if there are any actual bids. If you think they will “make a lovely family heirloom”, think again. Sooner or later, whoever you leave them to, or to whomever they leave them to, somebody’s gonna sell them. I mean, come on, your Grandfather left them to you and it has been less than six years and you’re already thinking of selling them.
